FAQ

1. Can I combine 2 harddisks of different sizes?
YES, you can use the "Aggregate" function to combine 2 harddisks of any sizes up to a max combined capacity of 1024GB.

2. Can I combine 2 harddisks in the same AluBoxDuo LAN?
YES, you can combine 2 harddisks in the same AluBoxDuo LAN. Note that this feature is NOT available in the AluBoxDuo (ACR-HD50183), it is only available in AluBoxDuo LAN (ACR-HD50190).

3. Will the 2 harddisks in the AluBoxDuo LAN appear as 2 drives or 1 drive?
The 2 harddisk in the AluBoxDuo LAN will appear as 2 harddisk. If you had partitioned them into more virtual drives, they will appear as you have partitioned them. This is the same whether connected via USB or LAN. If you wish them to be 1 drive, you can use the included disk management software to bind them into 1 drive.

4. Do I set the 2 harddisks as Master/Slave or CS?
You need to set the jumper of one harddisk as Master and the other harddisk Slave. It does not matter which harddisk is Master or Slave. Do NOT set them both as Master or both as Slave and do NOT set the harddisks as CS.
